Scandinavian Silver Eel (http://www.silvereel.se/) in Helsingborg in southern Sweden has recirculating aquaculture and aquaponics systems for cultivation of eel, rainbow trout, and tomatoes. The FLAVOUR project has analysed water and microbial samples from several of the sub-systems. The tomatoes, which are grown in an aquaponics system together with rainbow trout, tasted great!

The FLAVOUR project is analyzing samples collected from Johannas Stadsodlingar, an aquaponics farm outside of Stockholm (https://www.johannas.org/). At Johannas, rainbow trout in combination with vegetables and herbs are cultivated in a recirculation system that aims to optimize use of water and nutrients.
